Janaki and Milton Manaki made their first film screening in Bitola, in the garden of their own “Manaki Theater”, built in the yard of the ruined “Royal Hotel”. Two years later, the theater was moved to a building that was specially built for that purpose. In Skopje, on June 9th, the hotel owner Vlastimir Milkic, organized the first film screening at his cinema “Balkan”, in the garden of his hotel. In Kumanovo, at the “Palas Caffe”, a traveling theater visited. In the newspaper “Old Serbia”, published in Skopje, a series of comments appeared, about the life of the Skopje cinemas, the audience and about the repertoire.
