Markovic Afrodita

(Ohrid, 1945 – ) She is a film worker – animator. Although born in Ohrid, in the same year her family moved to Skopje where she acquired her education. She graduated from the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture in Skopje. For a short period, she taught mathematics and descriptive geometry in the Josip Broz Tito High School. Then she worked as an architect for internal design in the “Treska” factory, while from 1985 she was professionally engaged by the “Vardar Film” Production Company. From 1989 to 1995 she lived in London and worked in the field of film. From 1995 she was the head and producer of the Studio of Animated Film in “Vardar Film”. In 1999 she was appointed the Acting Director of the “Vardar Film” Production Company. She is a member of the Association of Film Workers of Macedonia as well as of the Association of Professional Film Workers of Great Britain whose head-office is in London. She lives and works in Skopje.
