Osmanli Tomislav

(Bitola,1956 – ) He is a film theoretician, critic and film and television screenplay writer. He wrote the first Macedonian theoretical book about the seventh art “Film and Politics” and for the time being the only Macedonian book dedicated to the ninth art “Strip, a Record with Human Figure” as well as numerous books from the field of the film screenplay, essays, short stories and drama texts. He also wrote the script for the full-length feature film “Angels of the Dump” that was successfully presented at the international film festivals in Belgrade, Cairo, San Diego as well as in the special programme of the American Film Institute (AFI) in Washington. He was awarded many prizes and much recognition among which are: “13th of November”, “Krste P. Misirkov”, the film critic’s prize, the NOMSM Plaque as well as the first prizes of the “SOROS” foundation for the script of a medium campaign, the MANU Award (Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts), “11th of March 1943” for a prose work and prizes from Macedonian Radio Television for his scripts of full-length feature projects: “People without Addresses” (1976), “The Stars of ’42” (1984) and “Skopje Dreams” (1987).
