Panov Mitko

Studied painting at the University of Skopje, Macedonia. During the period 1983 – 1988 he learn filmmaking at the National School for Film, TV and Theater in Lodz Poland. In 1991 his film With Raised Hands won the Palm d’Or for best short at Cannes. The film also won prizes in Munich, Krakow, Tel Aviv, Rimini and Monte Casino film festivals. His films have been shown on PBS, A&E, ZDF, Channel 4 and Channel +. Yield is the second in a trilogy of Films of Labor. The first Bread and Salt was filmed in Lenin’s Shipyard in Gdans, Poland. Mitko Panov presently lives in USA. His latest film is MEADOW (1999).
