Petkovski Ljube

(Skopje, 4.12.1924) He is a film worker one of the doyens of film-making in Macedonia. Upon the completion of high school, he was admitted to the Higher Film School in Belgrade. He had several study stays in “Jadran Film” in Zagreb, France and Eastern Germany. From 1947 to 1983 he worked in the “Vardar Film” Production Company and later he acquired the status of a free-lance film worker. He also appears as the author and co-author of several scripts in film production. He is a winner of numerous awards and much recognition: “Golden Arena” for camera in the film “Anguish” at the Film Festival in Pula in 1995; “Krakow’s Dragon” at the International Short Film Festival in 1979 for the film “Golgotha”; “Milton Manaki” Golden Statue for life achievement, The “13th of November” award of the city of Skopje and the “11th of October” Republic award.
