Great obstacles to the cameramen were caused by the censors of the countries at war. Apart from the intensified control and permanent surveillance, they were not allowed to get close to the places of warfare. That is the reason why we can hardly see on these films any combat operations, instead we see lots of civilian sufferings and refugees that show \"the human side of war\".<\/P>
In order to make realistic shots of combat action as much as possible, the cameramen of \"Pathe\" used telephoto lenses. Today's research make us believe that Danish cameraman Friz Magnusen as well as some other cameramen and companies, simulated combat scenes due to the fact that they could not film real battles. These kind of films were done secretly, in studios. Nevertheless the truth somehow was discovered and the public was warned about the real nature of these films.<\/P>
The Balkans Wars were also an inspiration for filming artistic pictures. In the following two years, 20 films of this kind were produced.<\/P>
The screening of the documentary film records of the Balkans wars, was followed by a great deal of publicity and advertising in the press. Many times, the projections were accompanied by lectures, and some companies made special posters for advertising their films.<\/P>
